About Us
The Windsun Energy team have a successful track record in securing sites suitable for renewable energy developments. To date we have secured sites with the potential of generating 975 mw of PV solar energy and 480 mw of wind energy. All these sites have been issued with Environmental Authorisation and have either been bid or will be bid in the next REIPPPP round in South Africa.
Windsun Energy has been responsible for securing sites for 450 mw PV solar that has been successfully bid and has reached commercial operation as well as 140 mw of onshore wind energy that has reached commercial operation.
In addition to this Windsun Energy was responsible for the stakeholder management functions in most of these projects.
Des Brasington was the founder of the Windsun Energy company and has been involved in the renewable energy industry in SA since 2008.
